Police departments across the country entertain and teach about safety with a a night full of fun every August. I have taken my kids to this event a couple of times (in Lakewood, NJ) and we had a truly enjoyable time. In the past, in addition to the free rides, food, bike raffles and the exciting Dunk a Cop they also gave out reflectors, helmets and safety coloring books (all donated by various local business and organizations). Check out your township or city website and let us know about the event near you.
